Club membership payments are paid in person at the club via bank transfer or other methods, please drop in to talk to our Treasurer. Any payments to BSAC are made through their Sport80 app, you will need to sign up on their website – come and see us and we can talk you through it.
In order to join the club and dive with us, you will need to purchase SSAC club membership and BSAC membership. If you wish to take on training with us, you will need to purchase SSAC and BSAC membership along with a course
Stafford Sub-Aqua Club Annual Membership fee (January to December)
- £156 for full membership
- £78 for Social and Swimming Member or a Distance Member or a Family Member (child of an ordinary diving member who is either under 16 years old or in full time education)
BSAC Annual Membership fee
- £71.00 for New Member

- £28.00 for Discovery Diver
- £48.00 for Ocean Diver

Example
An adult joining the club to learn scuba diving would pay:
£156.00 (Stafford Sub-Aqua Club Membership) + £71.00 (BSAC Membership) + £48.00 (Ocean Diver pack) = £275.00
Equipment Hire and Gas Fills
- Equipment Hire: A nominal charge will be made to cover maintenance costs when used for normal diving as follows:
- Nil for Diving Equipment whilst undertaking Organised Training1 in the pool or open water (subject to availability & excluding Personal Equipment2)
- £10 for a for a SCUBA and weights per day
- £3.50 per single item per day (cylinder, pony, regulators, BCD, DSMB/SMB, Compass, etc.)
- Gas fills (Air only): A nominal charge will be made to cover maintenance and running costs when used for recreational diving as follows:
- Nil for pony top-up
- Nil for Organised Training including the filling of Trainee own cylinder
- Nil for Instructors delivering Organised Training
- £3.50 per cylinder otherwise
1 Organised Training (excepting Skill Development Courses (SDC)) is training that has been sanctioned by the Diving Officer
2 Personal Equipment means Equipment expected to be provided by the Trainee, typically but not limited to Dry Suit, Under suit, Hood, Gloves, Open water fins, Dive Computers and Torches
Quarry entrance Fees
The club uses commercially run diving centres for its quarry training. The facilities and fees vary, most sites now have a registration fee of between £10 and £25 and an entrance charge of between £15 and £25 for each days diving. It will also be necessary to get the diving cylinder topped up with air which costs about £7 at the quarry.
